Maxwell appeal denied in Whittington suit

The Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has dismissed an appeal filed by Sheriff Randy Maxwell concerning the lawsuit filed against him by Jim Whittington.

The case remains in litigation.

Maxwell's appeal concerns a ruling in federal court in Alexandria issued March 31 granting in part and denying in part a motion for summary judgment involving Whittington's lawsuit.
