by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Making Ferriday a better place was a common theme for mayoral candidates at the Doty Road Church of God & Ferriday Community Action service honoring Dr. Martin Luther King on Monday.

The event was held at the Delta Music Museum Arcade.

Rev. Simeon Green asked all candidates seeking the mayoral post to support the eventual winner. Members of the audience asked questions.

The theme was "Making a Difference One Day at a Time," and candidates Gene Allen, Johnnie Brown, Justin Conner and Joe Sontoyo talked about making a difference if elected mayor.

Following a tribute to King by Mack Moore, each candidate introduced himself followed by questions from the audience.
