The Financial Institution Service Corporation (FISC) Board of Directors honored Vidalia banker Cliff Merritt last week by naming the organization's board room the Cliff Merritt Board Room.

Merritt is Delta Bank's president and chief executive officer.

"I am thrilled," Merritt said Tuesday. "It's a great honor and a great organization."

FISC, based in West Monroe, is a co-op owned by member banks in Louisiana and Mississippi and governed by the organization's 45 member bank presidents, who individually serve on various working committees.

Merritt has been with Delta Bank for 14 years.
