Low bid awarded for Airport Road contract

The Concordia Parish Police Jury has awarded Camo Construction of Vidalia the contract to rebuild two sections of Airport Road.

The contract was awarded during the Jury's regular meeting Monday night.

Camo submitted the low bid of $444,845.52. Other bidders included W.E. Blain & Sons of Natchez, $720,594.55; Dozer LLC of Natchez, $785,353.52; and T.L. Construction of Alexandria, $599,555.31.

Hayden Kaiser of Jordan, Kaiser & Sessions, the parish's engineer, said work includes a 400-ft. section and a 1,200-ft. section of Airport Road. He said it has yet to be determined when construction would begin.
