Law enforcement officers arrested more than 30 people and confiscated illegal drugs, weapons and three vehicles in the Ferriday area on Friday.

The arrests followed a year-long investigation into a neighborhood-based gang known as the Sixth Street Boys. Several arrests were also made on non-drug related charges.

The gang-related investigation involved the FBI Task Force, the Concordia Narcotics Task Force, Louisiana State Police, U.S. Marshals Service, federal Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearm agents, and Louisiana Probation and Parole.

Supervisor Rob King with the FBI's Alexandria Field Office said crack cocaine, powder cocaine and marijuana were seized throughout the daylong operation.
