Three Police Jury incumbents are in run-offs in the upcoming April 17 general election.

Police Jury President Melvin Ferrington in District 4B is in a run-off with Jimmy Wilkinson, District 2 police juror Willie Dunbar faces Fred Marsalis and in District 5A, incumbent Jimmy Jernigan faces Tommy Lowry.

Clerk of Court Clyde Ray Webber said the voter turnout Saturday was 50.4 percent.

Five incumbents were re-elected Saturday -- Carey Cook, Joe Parker, Whest Shirley, Jerry Beatty and Red Tiffee. Randy Temple was unopposed.
