Approximately 150 people attended the Health & Wellness Fair held Saturday at the Vidalia Conference & Convention Center.

"We had a pretty good show of attendees," according to Jamie Wiley, Concordia Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. "We had vendors from Alexandria, Natchez, Jackson, Brandon, Miss., Lacombe, and of course Vidalia.

Vendors provided health screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, body fat, nutrition and bone density. One vendor provided a printout of a diet based on a person's age, height, weight, etc., Wiley said.

Samples were given out as well as pens, notepads and informational pamphlets, she said.

Speakers provided information regarding both men's and women's health.

A space jump was provided for children.

"I believe it was a very successful event and hope to see even more people take advantage of the next one," Wiley said.

The event was presented by the Miss-Lou Regional Healthcare Committee and the Concordia and Natchez chambers of commerce.

Sponsors of the event include Natchez Community Hospital, Natchez Regional Medical Center, Promise Hospital of the Miss-Lou and Riverland Medical Center.
