Ferriday to up water rates
The Ferriday Board of Alderman agreed to take over operations of the Red Gum water system and approved an ordinance to raise water rates $6 a month.
That action came during a special meeting Monday morning.
The ordinance will increase water rates from $17.30 to $23.30 monthly effective immediately.
