Spring fly-in set at airport

Concordia Parish Airport will be busier than normal this Saturday, May 26, when EAA Chapter 912 hosts its annual spring fly-in.

Twelve fly-ins are held each year by Louisiana chapters around the state. The number of aircraft entered depends greatly on the weather.

"We are supposed to look good for the weekend," according to Donna Maroon.

She said the fly-in will begin at 10 and will go until 3:30 p.m. The fly-in is open and free to the public. Concessions will be on site and there is plenty of shade, she said.

"Bring your family, lawn chairs and your camera," Maroon said. "You can visit each plane and talk to the pilots and listen to some good tales of their flying experiences."
