All-Stars selected
The Concordia Parish Dixie Youth Baseball League held closing ceremonies and announced its all-star teams Friday in Vidalia.
Concordia Parish Dixie Youth Baseball will host the 10-year-old All-Star Tournament beginning July 7.
The Concordia Parish 12-year-old All-Stars will begin O-zone tournament play on June 30 in Pineville.
The Concordia Parish 9-year-old All-Stars and 11-year-old All-Stars will compete in Monroe beginning July 6.
The Concordia Parish Machine-Pitch All- Star team will compete in Winnsboro beginning June 21.
Named to the Concordia Parish 12-year-old DYB All-Star team were Christian Fort, J.R. Davis, Lee Lancaster, Jerrius Scott, Joey Russell, Cameron King, Landon Havard, Reid Richard, Sawyer Mount, Cameron Rodgers, Chase Gillespie and Tiger Dishta.
Coaches are Jamie Lancaster and John Gillespie.
The Concordia 11-year-old all-stars are Caden Poole, Addison Curtis, Tanner Jenkins, Trenton Miller, Jonathon Burr, Trey Poole, Drake Smith, Braxton Hall, Tristan Weatherly, Larry Scott, Freddie Mango and Nic Melton. Coaches are Joe Curtis and Randi Poole.
The 10-year-old Dixie Youth all-stars are Trey Gill, Dominik Harveston, Travion Jordan, Cole McGivaren, Jacob Hawkins, Alden Cupit, Tyson Jenkins, Cooper Roach, Quaveon Turner, Xavier Washington, Datyrus Martin and Trey Johnson.
Coaches are Chrystal McGlothin and Sebastion Turner.
Named to the 9-year-old all-star team were Sam Mosby, Peyton Fort, Brett Walsworth, Eli Brown, Cody Brown, Drew Brown, Fisher Hall, Caleb Smith, Dylan LaPrairie, V.J. Knight, Rhet McDonald and Charlie Tarver. Coaches are Buddy Brown, Shaun McDonald and Nick Herring.
Beginning next year, the Concordia Parish Dixie Youth Baseball League and the Vidalia Softball League will hold their games at the new recreational complex near Vidalia City Hall. |
