All-Star games on tap
The Concordia Parish 10-year-old All-Stars will host the District 5 Dixie Youth Tournament beginning Saturday at the Dixie Youth Major League Field in Vidalia.
Concordia Parish will the final game on Saturday. Four games will be played beginning at 2 p.m.
Eight teams will be competing, but those some of the eight teams were still competing in sub-district play Monday. The Sentinel sports had an early press time because of July 4th.
The Concordia Parish 12-year-old All-Stars will begin O-zone tournament play on June 30 in Pineville.
The Concordia Parish 9-year-old All-Stars, 11-year-old All-Stars and 12-year-olds will compete in Monroe beginning July 6.
The Tri-Parish 14-year-old All-Stars will begin district competition Friday in Monroe. The district tournament was going to be held in Vidalia, but Vidalia swapped with Monroe so Vidalia can host the tournament at the new recreation complex next year. Concordia will face Richland Saturday at 5 p.m..
Catahoula faces East Ouachita at 2 p.m. Franklin meets Monroe at 8 p.m.
Morehouse received a bye.
The Concordia Parish 13-year-old All-Stars will face Franklin Saturday at 5 p.m. in Bastrop.
