The Concordia 10-year-old All-Stars were eliminated by Morehouse Parish Monday night at the District 5 Tournament being held in Vidalia.

"We just didn't hit when we needed to," said Concordia coach Christal McGlothin. "We left the bases loaded twice and left 11 on base the total game. But they are all still all-stars to me. I am very proud of them."

Concordia started off the tournament with a 14-4 win over Rayville Saturday.

Condordia scored four runs in the first inningTrey Gill reached on catcher's interference to score Tyson Jenkins, Datyrus Martin and Jacob Hawkins scored on bases-loaded walks and Cole McGivaren singled to score Gill. Cooper Roach scored on a walk to Quaveon Turner.

Concordia added five in the fifth as Martin doubled to score Jenkins, and Hawkins singled. Roach plated two runs with a single and scored on a single by McGivaren.

Turner picked up the win.

Concordia fell to Monroe Americans 23-5 on Sunday.

Both teams scored one run in the first inning.

Monroe added four in the top of the second, while Concordia scored three in the bottom second before the Americans put the game away in the third and fourth innings.

Against Morehouse, Gill doubled and singled, while Hawkins singled twice.

The four teams remaining are Morehouse, West Monroe South, Monroe Americans and the Monroe Nationals.
