Huber, Hamm win Panola 4-Ball

Golfers attempted to dodge the raindrops at the Panola Woods 2012 Budweiser 4-Ball this past weekend.

Chad Huber and Casey Hamm of Natchez overcame the adversity the best, winning their first Panola championship, firing a 131, including a 64 over the first nine holes.

Johnny Futch and Frank Maxwell came within a stroke of winning their eighth 4-Ball title, shooting a 132.

Finishing in a tie for third and fourth were the teams of Glen Roscoe and Dale Cagnolatti and Gary and Jordan Farmer at 133.

Roscoe and Cagnolatti have won five 4-Ball title.

Greg Brooking and Pete Powell, who lost in a playoff last year, finished fifth at 134.

Jimmy Guthrie and Mickey Wilkinson came in at 135, while Rick Moore and Stan Watts shot a 136..

Tying for top honors in the first flight were the teams of Jeff Russell and Bobby Richmond and Pat Hinson and Mike Sebren at 136. Tying for third and fourth place were the teams of Jackie Clowers and Todd Groves and Trey Tuminello and Bryan Morgan at 139. Buddy Trisler and Slick Joiner were fifth at 141.

Craig Jackson and Tripp Bryant won the second flight at 139. Bill Colvin and Darrell Reid placed second at 143. The teams of Mark Patterson and Keith Rayborn and Terry Overland and Dee Barrow tied for third and fourth at 145. Jamie Accardo and Trey Reddeck placed fifth at 148.

The teams of Dobbs and Weeks and Eddie Butler and Matt Malone tied for tird on the third flight at 108.

Morrow and Brazzeal won the fourth flight at 112.

Randy Knapp and Cliff Hamilton won the fifth flight at 118.

Closest to the hole winners were Jimmy Guthrie, Chris Joiner, Butch Lipscomb, Jamie Parker, Duke Knapp, Al Cobb and Roger Dobbs (twice).

The Panola Woods Men's Championship will be held Aug. 4-5.
