Police Jury gets clean audit The Concordia Parish Police Jury received a clean audit for the 2011 calendar year, according CPA Myles Hopkins of Silas Simmons, LLP, of Natchez.
Hopkins told jurors at their Monday regular meeting that "this is a clean opinion. There are no findings and you are in compliance."
He said Jury revenues exceeded expenses in 2011 by $640,507.
Total assets amounted to $19.6 million with liabilities of $11 million.
"Most of the assets are in roads and most of the liabilities are in roads," Hopkins said, referring to the Jury's parishwide hardsurfacing program. For the full story, subscribe to the The Concordia Sentinel's NEW E-Edition! |
