Police Jury gets clean audit
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Concordia Parish Police Jury received a clean audit for the 2011 calendar year, according CPA Myles Hopkins of Silas Simmons, LLP, of Natchez.

Hopkins told jurors at their Monday regular meeting that "this is a clean opinion. There are no findings and you are in compliance."

He said Jury revenues exceeded expenses in 2011 by $640,507.

Total assets amounted to $19.6 million with liabilities of $11 million.

"Most of the assets are in roads and most of the liabilities are in roads," Hopkins said, referring to the Jury's parishwide hardsurfacing program.
