Block High School dropped its first game of the season, falling to Jena 37-8 in Jena Friday.

Bear head coach Benny Vault Jr., had to watch most of the game from the parking lot after being tossed in the second quarter for questioning calls.

Block's only score came on a 1-yard run by Ken Colbert after Colbert caught a pass from Trevor Vault covering 50 yards. Vault ran in the conversion.

The Bears host Rayville Friday.

"They are big and athletic as always," Vault said. "They led Ouachita Christian 32-0 at half-time, but lost 35-32. We're just looking to get better, especially with our young offensive line. They have to stay with their blocks."
