Trinity Episcpal logged its third straight win as the Saints dominated River Oaks of Monroe 42-6 at Trinity Friday.

"We're continuing to see improvement on the practice field and on the game field," said Trinity coach Josh Loy. "The kids did what they had to do."

Tanner Cage scored the first of three touchdowns on a 28-yard run midway through the first quarter. Carter Smith added the kick.

The Saints went up 14-0 on their next possession as Garrett Vinson connected with Dre McCoy on an 11-yard pass play.

Following a River Oaks score late in the first quarter, Trinity scored twice in the second period as Cage caught a 12-yard TD pass from Vinson and Vinson then hooked up on a 54-yard TD pass to McCoy.

Cage scored on a 70-yard run in the third period and Caleb Cross closed out the scoring for the Saints with a 7-yard run .

Cage finished with 192 yards on 18 carries, while Vinson completed 6-of-7 passes for 98 yards.

Trinity hosts Adams County Christian School Friday.

"It's a big game because it's the first district game and all our goals are still reachable," Loy said. "We don't want our guys to get caught up in the emotions of it being a rival game. We just need to concentrate on playing football."
