Ghost Tales at Jefferson College On Thursday, Oct. 25, families are invited to Historic Jefferson College, in Washington, Miss., for the annual Ghost Tales Around the Campfire program.
This event features local storytellers spinning not-too-scary yarns about ghosts, goblins and other spooky stuff around the glow of a traditional autumn bonfire. Afterwards, HJC will feature a brand new event --the After-Dark Halloween Duck Hunt! Parents and children can hunt for rubber ducks, shaped like ghosts, werewolves, vampires, zombies and other fun critters and people on designated areas of the grounds, and may keep all the ducks they find.
The story telling begins at 6:30, and the duck hunt will begin immediately afterwards. Visitors should bring a blanket or chair, bug spray and a flashlight! This event is free of charge, and is open to all ages, but parents should accompany their children.
