The Concordia Parish Chamber of Commerce will present its top awards Thursday night during the annual banquet at the Bryant O. Hammett Vidalia Conference & Convention Center in Vidalia.

This year's theme is "Celebrating the Sights & Sounds of Historic Louisiana."

Awards to be presented include 2012 Concordian of the Year, 2012 Business of the Year, 2012 Business Person of the Year, 2012 Educator of the Year and 2012 Chamber Volunteer of the Year.

Chamber Executive Director Jamie Wiley said 275 are expected for the banquet, which will include a silent and live auction.

"The committees are hard at work trying to make sure everything is just right for a spectacular evening as we celebrate the year 2012," Wiley said. "Our award winners are absolutely deserving of the awards they will receive."

She expressed appreciation to the number of volunteers who are assisting in preparing for the event.

"We appreciate everyone who has lent a hand," she said. "We have a wonderful community and I am especially happy to have Miss-Lou businesses involved."

She said 275 are expected for the event. Seating is limited.

"If you haven't already made your reservations, please do so now!" she said.
