Monterey Baseball Tournament slated
The Monterey High Baseball Tournament will be held Thursday through Saturday in Monterey.
On Thursday, at 4 p.m., Monterey will face LaSalle, followed by a junior varsity contest between both schools.
On Friday, Monterey faces Vidalia at 4 p.m. Saturday play begins at 9 a.m. as Monterey's junior varsity team faces Block's JV squad.
Vidalia meets Block at 10:15 a.m., followed by LaSalle Parish against Bolton.
Block faces St. Joseph at 2:15 p.m..
Monterey and St. Joseph meet at 4:15 p.m. in the final game of the day.
"We've got some good teams in the tournament and we feel like every game is competitive," said Monterey coach Eric Richard. "We're looking forward to it and I'm glad we'll be able to get some junior varsity games in."
Monterey is competing in the Block Tournament in Jonesville this seekend. |
