Jury handles routine business The Concordia Parish Police Jury took care of several routine matters during its regular meeting Monday night.
The Jury reviewed its building permit ordinance with Matt Johns of the Rapides Area Planning Commission. The commission handles the Jury's permit program, and Johns said all construction work is being monitored.
He said individuals who do not seek permits for building work will be contacted and work will be shut down if a permit is not obtained.
The Jury also agreed to seek bids for storage units for the Clerk of Court's office.
In other business, the Jury:
-- Approved payment of $4,030 to Bryant Hammett & Associates for Ames Road Drainage Study.
-- Appointed Kippy Blaney to the Concordia Economic Development Board.
-- Agreed to pay L-64 a total of $1,590 for spraying Ridgecrest Canal and ditch behind Floor Station.
-- Approved alcohol permits for:
