A year after having $50,000 in state appropriations cut from its budget, St. Joseph Arts, Inc., has been recognized as the Most Outstanding Small Non-profit Organization by the Lt. Governor's office for the State of Louisiana.

"That is very special," said St. Joseph Arts, Inc., president Bobby Sasser. "The magnitude of this award cannot be measured."

The award was presented to Saint Joseph Arts by Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu at the recent combined World Cultural Economic Summit and Louisiana Cultural Economic Summit.

A special Awards Ceremony was held at the New Orleans Imax Theatre on October 29th where Saint Joseph Arts Director, Cecel Linda Evans accepted the award from Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu.
