ACCS improves to 3-1
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Adams County Christian School bettered its win total from last year in only its fourth game, running over Central Private 40-22 in Baker.

Lester Wells rushed for 163 yards and scored two touchdowns, while Trey Fleming scored two touchdowns and passed for another in the win.

Brandon Ross also added a TD pass for the Rebels, who won their third straight game to improve to 3-1.

"I'm excited about where we are," said AC coach David King. "When we started out we had people quitting and some injuries. But we've been rejuvenated and the kids are getting more comfortable with me. We're still a long ways off from being a competitive football team, but they are seeing the hard work and preparation pay off."

ACCS hosts Bowling Green Friday.

"They have a big offensive line and are very physical," King said. "We hope to be able to use our speed to our advantage."
