by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Adams County Christian School spotted Bowling Green 26 points in the first quarter, falling to the Buccaneers 42-28 in Natchez Friday.

AC trailed 26-7 after one period as Lester Wells, who finished with 123 yards on 12 carries, scored on a 20-yard run and Austin Walker added the kick.

Wells retruned a fumble 40 yards for a TD in the second quarter and scored on a 24-yard run in the final period.

Trey Fleming scored on a 40-yard pass play from Brandon Ross in the third period.

"We just got whipped and there's nothing else you can say about it," said AC coach David King. "We learned a valuable lesson in that we have to be ready to play when the whistle blows."

ACCS plays at Trinity Friday.

King coached at Trinity before taking the AC job.
