Block falls to Bossier
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Samuel Dudley passed for two touchdowns and ran for one to lead the Bossier Bearkats to a 39-6 victory over the Block Bears Friday night in Jonesville.

"We believe our non-district schedule has us ready for district now," said Block coach Benny Vault, whose team hosts LaSalle Friday in their District 4-1A opener.

Bossier held Block to its lowest point total of the season.

Bossier improved to 3-3 with its second straight victory. Block, a Class 1A school which has three wins over Class 3A teams, fell to 4-2.

Block's only score came on a 52-yard pass from Trevor Vault to Dorian Bowman in the second quarter.

"We came out flat for some reason," Vault said. "But our kids are excited about starting district. We haven't scored many points, so hopefully we can get our offense back going. Montgomery and St. Mary's are both 5-1, so we have to get ready to play just as hard in district."
