Trinity rolls again

Trinity Episcopal held Prairie View to minus-10 yards total offense as the Big Red Machine won its sixth game in a row, routing the Spartans 41-0 in Bastrop Friday.

Tanner Cage had a 65-yard run and returned a punt 59 yards for a touchdown.

Arzell McCoy returned an interception 20 yards for another score.

Demarcus Fleming scored twice and Wyatt Boothe scored on a 10-yard run.

Trinity hosts Oak Forest Friday.

Oak Forest, 3-4. upset Brookhaven last month.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 46-6 win over Central Private.

Oak Forest was upset by Silliman 20-19 two weeks ago.

Trinity has one regular season home game remaining after Friday, hosting Columbia Academy on October 19 in a District 5-AA game.

Trinity ends its regular season with a district contest at Brookhaven.

Brookhaven was the No. 1 team out of the district last season, while Trinity was No. 2.

Brookhaven lost to eventual state champion Simpson in the second round of the playoffs last year, while Trinity fell to Simpson in the semifinals.
