CLTCC Ferriday campus ceremony set Tuesday
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is slated at the renovated and expanded Central Louisiana Technical Community College Ferriday campus on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m.

The facility is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.

The ribbon-cutting will mark completion of a $5.2 million project to renovate and add teaching space to the campus.

Gov. Bobby Jindal is expected to speak at the program.

Tents will be set up at the main entrance, guests will be allowed to do a walk through and a reception will be held in the multi-purpose room in Building B.

Campus Dean Mignonne Ater said renovation and expansion was completed earlier this year, part of a statewide $174 million facilities program that provided 23 capital outlay projects for 14 community and technical colleges in Louisiana.

She said the Ferriday facility is located on 6.2 acres, consists of three buildings and approximately 40,000 square feet of instruction classrooms, labs and service area space.
