Road block ordinance approved posted Wednesday, November 14th, 2012 @ 12:47 pm  E-mail Story |  Print Story  The Vidalia Town Council adopted a road block ordinance Tuesday night with exceptions for Veterans of Foreign Wars and Feed the Hungry. That action came during its regular monthly meeting. The board also accepted a bid of $9,700 from Petal, Miss., for surplus vehicles and took under advisement two bids for a lease agreement on new garbage truck. Mayor Hyram Copeland said Scott Truck bid $2,630 per month for 36 months while River City Truck bid $2,215.63 per month for the same period.
