Fire protection fee on Monterey ballot Monterey voters will decide on Dec. 8 whether they want to implement an annual $50 parcel fee over a 10-year period for fire protection.
The fee will generate an estimated $75,000 a year, according to Monterey Fire Protection District Fire Chief Jim Graves.
