posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
An open house and ribbon cutting will be held Tuesday for the City of Vidalia Municipal Complex and Recreation District No. 3 Complex from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

"We're extremely excited about the municipal and recreation complex," said Vidalia Mayor Hyram Copeland. "We feel they are the finest in the state for a city our size. We're elated about the opportunities they will bring and they should help with our economic development."

The public will be able to tour City Hall, the Vidalia Police Department and Vidalia Fire Department before boarding a trolley to tour the Recreation Complex.

Copeland also extended his thanks to Recreation District No. 3 for working with the city on the new recreation complex.

"This is something our young people will be enjoying for years and we already have people contacting us with questions about the complex and economic opportunities it presents."
