Monterey drops pair
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Monterey dropped a pair of games at Oak Hill Friday as the Lady Wolves fell 47-39, while the Monterey boys dropped a 61-46 contest to the Rams in Hineston.

Dillon Smith scored 13 points to lead the Monterey boys, while Kade Passman and Yankee Ducan added 11 each.

"We just did not play well from the beginning." said Monterey boys coach Eric Richard. "That was the flattest we've been for a game since playing Calvin (December 18, 2012). We just have to re-group and get focused again."

The Lady Wolves were led by Reagan Tiffee with 10 points.

Monterey had an open date Tuesday and will host Grace Christian Friday.

"We have to step up our game now," said Monterey girls coach Cary Shively. "We definitely need a win."
