Wedding Anders - Durel

Rachel Ratcliff Anders and Jason Joseph Durel were married at 6:30pm, Saturday July 31, 2010 at Saint Martin de Tours Catholic Church with the Reverends Douglas Courville, Anthony Dhamaraj, and Louis Sklar officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Felix Anders, Jr. of Ferriday and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Joseph Durel, Jr. of Lafayette.
Music for the ceremony was provided by organist and vocalist Mr. Patrick Melancon.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. The bride wore a gown of ivory Mikado Silk with accents of ivory French Alencon lace. The gown featured a strapless bustline, extended drop waistline, flared circle skirt and chapel-length train. Her veil of ivory silk was made by a close family friend using Alencon lace. The Alencon lace was taken from a family heirloom veil that was worn by her mother and three aunts. The lace was hand appliqued in a scalloped pattern along the bottom edge of the cathedral-length veil.
The bride's sisters Emily Cooper Anders of New Orleans, served as maid of honor and Bridget Anders Milliken of Ferriday, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Margaret Alwood of Natchez; Ellen Edmondson Baker of New Orleans; Natalie Durel Broussard of Lafayette; Erin Ainsley Fontenot of New Orleans; Nicole Durel Hebert of Lafayette; Tori Evans Naquin of Baton Rouge; and Gina McClure White of Winston Salem, NC. The bridesmaids wore a juniper green, silk shantung dress. It featured a strapless sweetheart neckline and fell just above the knee.
Bradley John Chastant, Jr. and Aaron David Hurlburt both served as best men. Groomsmen were Robert McNutt Boyce, Jr. of New Orleans; Patrick Kyle Broussard of Lafayette; Charles Howard Fenstermaker of Lafayette; Thomas Michael Hebert of Lafayette; Brad Michael Lake of St. Louis, MO; Tom Terry Milliken, III of Ferriday; and Tyler Matthew Walton of Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
Todd Hunter Babin of Lafayette and Jerome Milton Volk, III served as ushers.
Hannah Lorraine Hebert and Meredith Margaret Hebert served as junior bridesmaids. Braxton Kyle Broussard and Grant Ratcliff Murphy served as ring bearers.
Program attendants at the ceremony were Elizabeth Hyde Murphy and Patrick Reily Murphy, III. Reading at the nuptial mass were Bradley John Chastant, Mary Kathryn Schneider Crigler, and Michelle Elaine Swift. Eucharistic Ministers were the celebrants. Gift bearers were Mary Elizabeth James and Brittany Ratcliff Thomson.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette.
After a wedding trip to Peter Island, British Virgin Islands the couple will reside in Lafayette.
