This particular syndrome affects Ellis' bone growth and development particularly in her skull, hands and feet.
Throughout her development, Ellis will have to undergo several reconstructive craniofacial surgeries to allow for brain development and growth of the facial structure.
She will also have reconstructive surgery of the hands and feet to separate the fingers and toes, all of which are currently webbed.
Ellis is expected to have her first reconstructive surgery at nine months old and they will continue until approximately 18 years of age.
